Medical Council launches investigation on Ankit’s death


Kolkata: After allegations were levelled against two private hospitals in the city for negligence in treatment of injured cricketer Ankit Keshari, Mediacl Council had launched an investigation against the hospitals and doctors, who treated Ankit.

The Council had already sent notices to the respective hospitals and warned that if found guilty the license of the hospitals and registration of the doctors will be terminated.

Ankit Keshari, a promising young cricketer of West Bengal club, suffered severe injury during a match on April 17 at jadavpur and died during treatment. Ankit’s family filed FIRs accusing the hospitals of gross negligence causing Ankit’s death.
