Kollata: A few days back the MB club website had announced that the World Cupper of Honduras Georgie Welcome Collins would be the 4th foreigner of the green and maroons after they had toped in Brazilian defender Gustavo Silva. But according to Sanjoy Sen and the finance secretary of Bagan, Debasish Dutta,MB is yet to finalise on the fourth foreigner. According to tje update, Bagan will close in on the 4th foreigner after the AIFF meeting on July 7 where the rules regarding the marquee player might be altered. Hence, based on the new regulation the I League champions will decide on their Marquee.
Some of the club sources have informed that even though Welcome is all sen to come in, an Argentine named Christian Gastan Castano and an Angolan marksman is in the fray. Gastano is a 30 year old Boca Juniors product who has also played for San Lorenzo in Argentina. He has last played in the Indonesian top division league.
Sanjoy Sen has made it clear that his team will get set foot in the CFL with full strength. He will check out the new foreigners in the local league and then decide to retain them for I League. MB is likely to resume practice on July 16 with no residential camp in the pipeline of planning. Sony and Katsumi is expected to join the team in August.
