Barasat: Sanjoy Sen's Mohun Bagan could not taste success even in the second match of their CFL campaign in 2015. The green and maroons were held by SAI at the Barasat Stadium to a goalless draw on Thursday. Even though MB got a penalty in the 18th minute of the match, Bagan midfielder and the experienced Lal Kamal Bhowmick failed to capitalise and score for Bagan. In the second half, Japanese medio Katsumi Yusa who is also captaining the side was denied a goal by the linesman of being in the offside position. However, the decision of raising the flag by the linesman will be definitely put under scanner as the rules of being in offside did not coincide with the position of Yusa on the field. However, Bagan got ample opportunities in the second half but all went in vain. After being in the field for 180 minutes in Calcutta Football League, Sanjoy Sen's I League winning side failed to open the lock gate of goals against two teams who could not even make the cut to the I League.
With Bidesh Bose in the dug out, Sanjoy tried all sorts of plans on Thursday. From consolidating the striking line with Kean Lewis and Raja Das and later bringing in Manish Bhargav and Azharuddin Mullick, Sanjoy at one point seemed helpless. The need of a genuine striker was evident in the team's play. With losing the winning points from the first two encounters in the domestic league, Sanjoy's boys have undoubtedly welcomed trouble for themselves if they think of winning the trophy of Kolkata League this year.
