Massive fire killed 2 injured 14 in Delhi


New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at west Delhi’s Mangolpuri around 3:38 am on Saturdy killing two persons including a 7 year old girl and injuring 14 others. Fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flames around 4:30 am.

Surekha, 30 and Gayatri, 7, died due to suffocation caused by the fire, while the injured, who include four children, were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where they are being treated, an official said.

The report quoted a fire official telling, “The fire ignited after a high tension wire near one of the houses came in contact with an inflammable item. The fire then spread to two other houses.”
