Mumbai: A fire broke out at a hospital in Mumbai’s Andheri on Monday, leaving more than 10 people trapped. Out of 15 people who have been rescued, the condition of three is said to be critical.
The rescue operations are underway. A Level-4 blaze erupted at the government-run ESIC Kamgar Hospital located at Marol in suburban Andheri.
The fire brigade received a call at around 4 pm about the fire, an official from the city civic body’s disaster management cell said. He added that eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Efforts to douse the flames and evacuate the patients are underway.
“Some people are feared trapped…rescue operation is going on,” the official said.
