Massive Blast Kills Two in Siliguri

Siliguri: A blast in an oil tanker killed two people in Fulbari area under Siliguri district in West Bengal on Thursday, police said. The deceased have been identified as Shishir Shah the driver of the tanker and Dev the helper.

As per reports, the tanker was undergoing repair at a garage when it suddenly exploded during welding killing the duo on the spot. Two more people have been injured in the blast and were rushed to North Bengal Medical College.

On the other hand a BRO worker was killed on national highway-10 in Siliguri due to a landslide.  The landslide stalled the traffic on NH-10 blocking transportation between Siliguri and Sikkim. Rescue workers and police personnel rushed to the spot and reconstruction is under way.
