Marriage party turns fatal for one

Muzaffarnagar: One person was killed and another injured during firing when a clash broke out at a marriage party in Shamli district, police said today. The incident took place yesterday when few locals objected to playing of music late night at a marriage party.

The altercation turned violent with one group allegedly resorting to firing, they said. While 30-year-old Sarver died on the spot, one Shakil sustained bullet injuries and was rushed to hospital in a serious condition. A case has been registered against three persons-Shokin, Hakeem and Sanewwar, who are absconding, police said, adding, further investigations are on in the case.
