Midnapore: The Maoists seem to have become active once again. This time they have released posters where they have declared a bounty on minister Suvendu Adhikari and Shalboni’s MLA Srikanta Mahato. No arrests have been made yet.
The posters were found lying at the roads of Murakata village, which is 7 km away from Midnapore. Call for protest against the Mamata Banerjee government is written on the poster in red colour. It also mentions the demand for Suvendu’s head. Soon after 4 suspected Maoists were arrested on Wednesday, these posters were found, and naturally have sparked panic in the area in Jungle mahal.
It is clear from these posters that the Maoists are adamant in getting back their lost land in Jungle mahal. The detectives could notice the resume of activeness of Maoists since last month.
On Tuesday, 4 suspected Maoists including CPI Maoist WB state committee member Sabyasachi Goswami, were arrested and leaflets-books were seized from them. After reading those, the detectives are sure that the Maoists have become active in the region.
