Raipur: Two youths including a school student have been killed by the Naxals, suspecting them of police informers in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
The bodies of the youths, identified as Manish Yadav and Pakhel Gond, bearing bullet injuries were found on Wednesday morning near Kumharwada village under Bakarkatta police station limits, Rajnandgaon Superintendent of Police Sundarraj. P said.
Yadav was studying in a local government school. Gond was a resident of nearby Dariakoda village.
A group of armed cadres dragged out both Yadav and Gond from their native villages and allegedly shot them dead, Mr. Sundarraj said. They then dumped their bodies on Bakarkatta-Rampur road, he said.
Upon receiving information of the incident, security forces were rushed to the spot. They recovered the bodies for post-mortem, he said, adding that they have been handed over to the deceased’s relatives.
Meanwhile, a combing operation has been launched in the region to nab the assailants, Mr. Sundarraj said.
