Maoists call for strike in Bihar-Jaharkhand on Saturday

Ranchi: Protesting against the arrest of Maoist leader Shiv Prasad Singh, the Maoists have called for a strike in Bihar and Jharkhand on Saturday. The bandh will be starting from Friday night. Only the wedding parties and patients will be spared from the bandh.

Maoist leader Gopal ji, the chief of Jharkhand’s Special Area Committee, said, “We have called for a bandh against the false action of the police.”

Last week 11 villagers were detained by the Maoists. Later Maoist leader Shiv Prasad was arrested from there.
