Bongaon: Manjul Krishna Thakur who recenty left TMC and registered his name in the Bharatiya Janata Party, has expressed his desire to return back to TMC once again. It is learnt that Manjul Krishna Thakur has written a letter to TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and has expressed his view. He was an eminent member of Mamata Banerjee’s cabinet. By roping in Manjul, the BJP played a master stroke on the verge of the Bongaon bypolls.
In the Bongaon bypolls, Manjul’s son, Subrata Thakur was even given a BJP ticket to contest against TMC’s Mamata bala Thakur from the same Bongaon constituency. But Subrata Thakur did not fair well in the bypolls and BJP lost to TMC by a huge margin at Bongaon.
It is heard from close sources that Manjul Krishna Thakur has even apologised to Mamata Banerjee for his shift to the BJP in the letter. HE has written a personal letter to the CM to expreess his wish of returning back to TMC as soon as possible. The BJP leadership has said that they did not receive any such news from Manjul.
