Man in trouble after applying for cat’s Aadhaar


Kasaragod: A Keralite, presently residing in Gulf has applied for a Aadhaar ID card for his pet, a Persian cat so that he can take it to that country.

According to police, he was reportedly told that he would have to apply for an ID card for his pet and he had approached an Akshay Kendra in Kasaragod for the same. While his application had the photo of the Persian cat, the name and the address was that of the owner. During the scrutiny of the application a complaint was received from Bengaluru Regional Aadhar Card Additional Director, D M Gujral.

Cases have been registered against the Akshay Kendra owner and Abdulla under sections 465 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code.
