Kolkata: In a desperate attempt to thwart the growing influence of BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday urged the people of Bihar to vote and re-elect Nitish Kumar in the ongoing Bihar polls.
“Request you all in #Bihar to please vote to re-elect @NitishKumar ji as CM for greater need of our country & development in State,” Mamata said on Twitter.
The first two phases of the Bihar Assembly elections have already been completed while the third phase will go to polls on October 28. 57 per cent voting was recorded in the first phase and 55 per cent was recorded in the second phase of the Assembly Elections.
Voting for the fourth and fifth phase will be on November 1 and November 5. The counting of votes will be taken up on the November 8.
