Kolkata: Politics over PNB scam now in key area of debate in Bengal. When Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on took a swipe at Modi government over the Punjab National Bank fraud saying, money laundering happened during demonetization then saffron Brigade also counters Ruling party’s allegation.
State-owned PNB has been rocked by the fraud involving billionaire diamond jeweler Nirav Modi who allegedly acquired fraudulent Letters of Undertaking (LoUs) from a branch in Mumbai to secure overseas credit from other Indian lenders.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg. This big banking fraud was fueled at the time of Demonetisation. Big money laundering happened during DeMo,” she said in a tweet.
Now Bengal BJP turns the table. They published a rare image of Amit Mitra with accussed in PNB scam Mehul Choksi and said that TMC also involved in the scam.
BJP state President Dilip Ghosh published a image of Amit Mitra and Mehul Choksi on Sunday. Mehul Choksi was invited at Bengal business summit at 2017 in Mumbai. Dilip Ghosh alleged that it proved that how both they are close in connection but TMC denied the allegations.
