Mamata’s Employment Bank Likely To Provide 10 Lakhs Job


Kolkata: With an eye on the local body elections scheduled , West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s government will appoint ten lakhs . Presently 26,46, 003 youths enlisted their names in the employment bank.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken this initiative by 2012 to provide jobs by the employment bank. To provide job to the unemployed is the basic motto of the bank. Those who has enlisted their names, will likely to get their calls.

Yuvasree is a financial assistance scheme of Government of West Bengal for the unemployed youth of West Bengal. This Yuvasree, scheme was previously known by Yuva Utsaha Prakolpo (YUP). From October, 2013 This Scheme has been implemented. This scheme is maintained by the Labour Department of West Bengal.

Motto of the scheme is – To provide Unemployment Assistance (Bekar Vata) to the unemployed youths of West Bengal for increasing employment ability and the skill of an unemployed person.

Employment Bank is a joint initiative taken by the Information Technology Department and the Labour Department under West Bengal Government. The state Government has set up Employment Bank, a web based job portal, for the job seekers of the state to increase their employment opportunity in all possible manners. This was build to support job seekers and also secures schemes for the unemployed youth of the state.

Employment Bank aims primarily at the enhancement of placement opportunities of the job-seekers and secondarily at removing the skill mismatch. Till now 95,959 youths getting Bekar Vata.
