Mamata Welcomes TDP’S Decision To Leave NDA

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee supports TDP out of NDA.In a major blow for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which recently pulled out its ministers from the Narendra Modi government, quit the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday.

Andhra Pradesh’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) which has 16 MPs today quits the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre a week after two of its representatives left the Narendra Modi government.

“I welcome the TDP’s decision to leave the NDA. The current situation warrants such action to save the country from disaster. I appeal to all political parties in the Opposition to work closely together against atrocities, economic calamity&political instability” : Mamata Banerjee.

On Thursday, the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in his state assembly speech said: “If necessary, we will support the no-confidence motion against the Centre, whoever may place it.” The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister said his party would support anybody who moved a no-confidence motion in the state’s interests.
