Kolkata: From the dais of July 21, Mamata Banerjee laid the objectives of the ruling party and the blueprints which TMC will follow to efface all sorts of unwanted situations in the party to target a sweeping majority at the 2016 Assembly Elections. She asked her party members to stay united and ‘fight for the people’. Mamata made it very clear again that there is no place for factional feud within the party. She also said that there was no place for ‘syndicate-raj’ in West Bengal. She stressed her administration would also discourage all activities of illegal mining within the state.
On the other hand, the message for the youth wing of the party was also made clear by the TMC Supremo as she stated the problems of ongoing college and university clashes and said that the students should respect the teachers. Although she did not make any mention of the ongoing scuffle in JU and CU, her message was clear that all sorts of quarrel and clash within University premises will be discouraged by the government and the educational authorities. According to her, the party organisation has to be strengthened and a party workers’ workshop would begin once the festive season is over.
