Mamata Urges Book Fair To Distant From Politics


Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee urges to keep the International Kolkata Book Fair out of politics. The state government has appealed the Publishers and Book Sellers Guild to keep political arguments out of the Book Fair stage, this year. General Secretary Tridib Chatterjee informed media about the appeal from government. The allocation of stalls to political parties has been left at the hands of the guilds.

Tridib Chatterjee said, allocation of stalls has been made a long time earlier. The International book fair will be inaugurated on 25th January. But the fair will start from 27th January onwards and continue till 7th February. This year’s focal theme is Bolivia.
