Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be felicitating the toppers of Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, Madrassa, ICSE and ISC examinations. The felicitation programme will be held at Nabanna Sabhaghar on June 11.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister has tweeted on Wednesday morning: “Congratulations to all students who excelled and those who passed the Madhyamik exams. Best wishes for all your future endeavours. Good wishes to your teachers and families.” The results of Madhyamik examination were declared on Wednesday, in which the pass percentage is 85.49. The result of Higher Secondary examination is going to be out of Friday.
It may be recalled that in 2017 too, the Chief Minister had felicitated toppers of the board examinations and inspired them to continue with their higher studies to become successful in life and to make their dreams come true. Last year, the programme was held at Uttirnya.
The Mamata Banerjee government has taken several steps to extend supports to students and at the same time, the Kanyashree Prakalpa to help girl students has taken the state to the top of the world. Moreover, it has also checked the dropout rate.It was Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who had initiated the programme to felicitate the toppers in the state from all boards.
