Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remembered late filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh on his birthday on Thursday and said he had passed away “too soon”.

We lost him too soon,” Banerjee wrote on her Twitter handle this morning.
Ghosh, a film director, actor, writer and lyricist had passed away on May 30, 2013 at the age of 49.
Ghosh, who had received National Film Awards for ‘Unishe April’, ‘Dahan’, ‘Raincoat’ and ‘Utsov’, had also acted in “Chitrangada”, “Arekti Premer Golpo” and “Memories in March”
