Mamata Plans 2-Day Tour To Cooch Behar


Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will set out for her 2-day tour to Cooch Behar on October 29. CM Mamata is scheduled to inaugurate the auditorium adjacent to the district administrative bhawan, on the same day.

Banerjee had named the auditorium as ‘Utsav’ and at least Rs 14 crores were spent to construct it. She will also hold her administrative meeting at this auditorium. Prior to this, the top administrative officials have regularly monitored the progress of the construction work of the auditorium.

Mamata Banerjee will stay at the circuit house there, at night. Then, she has a programme scheduled at Rasmela’s Maidan. She will be unveiling several governmental schemes on that day. On Tuesday, North Bengal development minister, district police super Bholanath Pandey and others inspected the Rasmela’s ground.

According to the district administration, a district administration meeting will be held on October 25 about the CM’s tour. The political analysts are keen to know what will the CM do, dyring her tour, to mend the problems within her party.

The North Bengal development minister said that the CM is expected to visit Cooch Behar for two days starting from October 29. According to the district police, the CM will reach Cooch Behar on a chopper from Bagdogra.
