Kolkata: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to meet Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Monday evening. She is to attend a seminar convened by Kejriwal.
The meeting is likely to emphasis the need to strengthen the federal structure in the country and to improve the center-state relationship for future growth.
Along with Mamata, the Chief Ministers meet called by Arvind Kejriwal on September 30 is likely to attend by Tripura CM Manik Sarkar and others. The meet will also be attended by CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechuri.
Sources from Nabanna, said that Mamata is likely to meet President Pranab Mukherjee also. She will return to Kolkata on October 1. It is to be noted that Mamata had met Kejriwal earlier on August and discussed the need to strengthen the federal structure of governance.
Although many of the CMs received invitation for the meeting, the BJP ruled states are not invited, giving rise to speculation that this could be a step forward to form an anti-BJP coalition.
