Kolkata: Once again thanking the people for voting her to power West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Friday dedicated the victory and the day to the people of Bengal.
“This is the victory of Maa, Maati and Manush. I dedicate the day to the people who have placed trust in me for fulfilling their dreams of a better Bengal.”
Terming the oath taking ceremony a major event in the state of Bengal, Ms Banerjee said that the presence of so many national leaders like Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Lalu Prasad Yadav, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has made the event special.
The star studded swearing-in ceremony has seen the presence of political heavyweights mentioned above and fanned speculation of a third front.
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav further fuelled the speculation as he mentioned hat talks are on for a anti-BJP bloc.
“Time has come to end the BJP-RSS rule in Delhi or else the country will get tore apart.” Said Lalu Prasad Yadav.
After the oath taking ceremony chief minister Mamata Banerjee reached Nabanna where she was offered guard of honour by Kolkata police.
