Kolkata: To arrest the flood situation of Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee has asked all the parties to gather at Nabanna for a detailed meeting. The meeting will be chaired by Mamata herself at Nabanna on Saturday, August 8 at 4 pm, as per sources. It is said that some of the political parties of Bengal had complained that the state government is not taking them under consideration to fight the flood situation in Bengal. In order to incorporate all sorts of advise from political parties, both large and small, Mamata has called for this meeting on Saturday.
The flood situation in Bengal has taken an ugly role with the passing of days. Already 80 people have been said to have lost their lives and many homes have been washed away in the suburban areas as well as in the districts. Mamata is also expected to meet PM Modi to discuss the flood situation of Bengal on August 11.
