Mamata Banerjee Expresses Anguish Over Indore-Patna Express Derailment

Kolkata: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerje today expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in Indore-Patna Express derailment.

The CM tweeted, “Saddened at the news of train accident. Thoughts and prayers with those families who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover well.”

At least 63 people have been killed and over 150 injured in the derailment of the Indore-Patna Express in Kanpur dehat district in the wee hours today.

Although the exact cause of the accident is not yet known a fractured track might be responsible, said a railway official.
