Last year on Easter Sunday, at least 72 people were killed in a suicide blast in Lahore’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal park.

On February 2017, the Pakistan Army launched Operation Raddul Fasaad in the wake of the spree of terror attacks in the country to eliminate the “residual/latent threat of terrorism”, reports Dawn.

Reports suggest that hundreds of suspected terrorists have either been killed or arrested in raids since the start of the operation.
