Major Accident Killed 6 in Bangladesh


Dhaka: A collision between a truck and an auto rickshaw in Comilla has left five people dead and another injured on Tuesday morning in Bangladesh’s the Comilla-Noakhali Road, said Laksham police OC Monowar Hossain.

A Noakhali bound truck rammed into the auto rickshaw leaving the driver of the three-wheeler, two passengers and a pedestrian dead on the spot, said the police officer. Another auto rickshaw passenger died after being taken to the Comilla Medical College and Hospital.

The dead have been identified as auto rickshaw driver Jasim Uddin, 30, Rozina Akter, 20, Nasrin Akter, 22, Mohsina Begum, 25, and pedestrian Abul Kalam, 32.
