Main accused of Kamduni rape case dies in jail


Kolkata:  Gopal Naskar, the main accused of the Kamduni rape case has been reported to have died in the Alipore Central Jail. The death was confirmed by the jail authorities on Saturday morning. It is reported that Naskar was suffering from some infection in his leg. The infection turned gangrene and the convict died as the consequence. Further developments on the death has not yet been briefed by the jail authorities. Gopal Naskar was arrested by the police for being the main accused in the Kamduni Murder Case. On June 7, 2013, a 20-year-old college student was allegedly abducted, gang-raped and murdered in Kamduni, near Barasat, about 20 km from Kolkata.
