Mahesh Bhatt’s Extortion Caller Arrested

Mumbai: Bollywood producer Mahesh Bhatt received extortion calls few days back from an unidentified caller who threatened to kill him, his daughter Alia Bhatt and wife Soni Razadan if he refused to meet his demands.

According to reports, the anonymous caller, who is being considered a gang leader, demanded Rs. 50 lakh from the filmmaker and sent several texts and WhatsApp messages as initial signs to take him seriously.

The incident took place on February 26 where Bhatt was asked to deposit the money at a bank branch in Lucknow.

In response to the extortion call, Bhatt lodged a complaint in Juhu Police Station after reports confirmed that the call was not a prank or jibe thrown at him.

Sources revealed that the unidentified caller also mentioned the fact that he will fire several rounds of bullets in daughter Alia and wife Soni if his instructions were not followed.
