Magisterial probe ordered into Tihar jailbreak

New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has ordered a Magisterial probe into the Tihar jail break case where two inmates of the jail breached the jail security on Monday and managed to escape. One of them has been caught while the other is absconding.

Two prisoners named Faizan and Javed were arrested on charges of burglary. They fled the jail by jumping the wall of jail number 7 where they were lodged and managed to enter the compound of Jail no 8. They broke the wall and escaped through a nearby ditch. Faizan was later arrested by police while Javed has managed to escape.

Apart from ordering a magisterial probe into the incident, Jung has demanded a review of the security of all Delhi prisons following the jail break in the high security Tihar jail.
