‘Made In India’ iPhone SE Officially Rolls Out

New Delhi: Apple’s first batch of iPhone SE (‘Assembled in India’) have been launched in select stores across Bengaluru, starting at a price of Rs 27,200 (32GB) and Rs 37,200 (128GB).

The boxes that come with ‘Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in India,’ printed on them will roll-out once clarity regarding GST emerges. It is assumed that it will be anytime after 1st July. With this, India will become the third country to assemble Apple products.

It is assumed that the iPhone devices will be available only in select Apple stores — however, sources close to the matter stated that Apple’s resellers and other retail partners have already got a few units of these devices.
