Loud Explosion Rings Out Near Security Compound In Kabul


Update: At least one killed and five injured in an explosion in Kabul’s Arzan Qeemat region.

Kabul: A loud explosion was heard across the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday, with witnesses also reporting the sound of gunfire.

Witnesses told Al Jazeera the incident was caused by a car bomb that struck near a security compound in the west of Kabul.

There was no immediate information on possible victims. Afghan officials had yet to comment on the blast.
