Jammu: A dreaded Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist responsible for a number of attacks across Jammu and Kashmir has been spotted in Pulwama on Wednesday.
Abu Dujana, who is the self styled India chief of LeT, was in Pulwama recently to attend the funeral of a slain terrorist. Dujana was accompanied by a team of 5-6 armed men.
A video accessed by India Today, shows Dujana delivering a speech to the locals who had assembled for the last rites. He is heard exhorting locals to take up the gun against Indian forces.
Dujana, who is in his mid-twenties, is wanted by the security forces for his role in the Udhampur attack, in which two BSF personnel were killed and a dozen injured. His head carries a cash reward of Rs 8 lakh.
Abu Dujana has been an active member of the LeT since the last four years. He is believed to be a resident of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Dujana has also been part of most of the attacks on security forces in south Kashmir. His name also came up during the questioning of captured Pakistani militant Naveed Ahmad.
Dujana had received the group of militants of which Naveed was a part of and ensured their travel from Kashmir to Udhampur. He mostly operates in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
