Left intellectuals appeals for free and fair election


Kolkata: Ahead of the KMC polls, the intellectuals of the Lefts in West Bengal reached out to the Election Commission office on Friday. They demanded a free and fair poll in the upcoming municipal elections. The intellectuals have even submitted a memorandum to the commission.

The group consisted of intellectuals like Wasim Kapoor and many others. Later, they gave their reaction to the media by saying that on the pretext of free and fair polls, they have visited the election commission office. They have even put forward a memorandum to the authorities requesting them to ensure the safety and avoid all forms violence during the time of elections.
