Lashkar threat: Katra in ‘High Alert’

Srinagar: Security has been tightened across Jammu and Kashmir after three suspected terrorists were noticed in Katra of Reasi district.

A senior police official said that they have received  inputs that three Lashkar terrorists have crossed the International Border in Akhnoor sector to enter into the Indian soil.

All the three terrorists are thought to be heavily armed. They have barged into Katra from where the tourists start their journey to Vaishno Devi shrine.

Katra has been made a high alert zone, the official said, additional security forces have been deployed to ensure peace and harmony prevail.He also said that Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been informed about the same and hunt to nab the militants are on.

Meanwhile, sources said that terrorists can target religious places, Army posts and schools.
