Lakhvi detention extended to maintain public order


New Delhi: India lodges strong protest, summoning Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit after Islamabad High Court ordered release of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi. India has asked Pakistan to take all legal measures to ensure Lakhvi, does not come out of jail.Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju said on Friday in New Delhi that Islamabad should realize that there are no good or bad terrorists. BJP MP Tarun Vijay has reacted on the release of 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Lakhvi and has called the move unfortunate and unacceptable. The MP added that the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks must handed over to India.

The Pak gvernment has listened to India’s ‘request’. According to sources, Lakhvi would be kept in jail for a month. He would not be set free from the Pak jail as of now.
