Lahore: The Lahore High Court has ordered government of Pakistan to immediately release 26/11 mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi from detention.Lakhvi is a prime accused in Mumbai terror attack and his release (on bail) can trigger serious law and order problem in the province.

Islamabad High Court Judge Noorul Haq Qureshi on March 13 had suspended the federal government’s order to detain Lakhvi and ordered his immediate release.

India had previously opposed the Islamabad HC, saying the overwhelming evidence against Lakhvi has not been presented properly before court by Pakistani agencies.
