Kunal withdraws hungerstrike on mother’s request


Kolkata: Jailed Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh on Thursday withdrew his hunger strike on the request his mother. Ghosh was undergoing hunger strike since he last five days over the demand of undertaking action against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other accused in the Saradha Scam. The hearing in Saradha case is scheduled in the next few days. Before that he will be consult his lawyers on the issue.

The suspended TMC MP was on an indefinite hunger strike since Monday and even didn’t touch a drop of water. But a message from his mother arrived at the jail to withdraw hunger strike following which he withdrew it on Thursday afternoon and drank water.
