Kunal pleads for bail in Calcutta High Court

Kolkata: The lawyers of Kunal Ghosh has once again filed a bail plea petition for the suspended TMC MP Kunal Ghosh at the Calcutta High Court. According to the court sources, the hearing of the case will be held sometime in next week. A few days ago Kunal pleaded for a 20 hour bail before the judge in order to attend the Rajya Sabha Session of the Parliament. But the judge did not accept his plea and denied the interim bail. Kunal had also asked for a CBI officer and a police personnel who accompany him to New Delhi to attend the session. Kunal further told the judge that CM Mamata Banerjee and other eminent personas should be quizzed, claiming that they are associated with the Saradha Scam. He also made a statement that on last Tuesday, many people associated with the Saradha scam will be seen sharing the dais with the CM. The police should be active and transparent enough to get hold of such people, concluded Kunal.
