Kunal heckled by police inside court premises

Investigation an ‘eye-wash': Kunal Ghosh

Kolkata: Saradha scam on Tuesday took an ugly turn with suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh being heckled by police inside the Bidhannagar court premises and being stopped by police officials present from speaking to journalists.

Ghosh was allegedly pushed by the officers on duty due to which he stumbled to the ground. It has also been alleged that he was even kicked by an official of Bidhannagar police. Kunal Ghosh along with former Saradha Managing Director Sudipto Sen and Debjani Mukherjee was produced before court  in four cases connected with Saradha Scam.

During Tuesday’s hearing Kunal said, “I am not doing any drama. The copyright of Drama is with Ms Banerjee.” He also alleged that Ghosh alleged that he was not being given proper medical treatment at the Alipore Correctional Home where he is lodged. “I am not taken to SSKM. It is only for Madan.”, he said.

The suspended TMC Rajya Sabha MP faced the red eyes of his own party leadership after making allegations that some its leaders are directly involved in the Saradha scam. Ghosh who was the head of Saradha Group’s Media cell was arrested for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore chit fund scam in November, 2013.
