Kulbhushan’s Wife Forced To Remove ‘Mangalsutra’ To Meet Him: MEA

New Delhi: The Ministry Of External Affairs(MEA) released a statement after Sushma Swaraj met mother and wife of retired naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan. It stated they were harassed by Pakistan and were forced to remove mangalsutra, bindi and bangles before meeting Jadhav.

“What’s more, Jadhav’s mother and wife had to change clothes before they were allowed in to meet the Indian national, and on the way out Jadhav’s wife wasn’t given her footwear back,” said the MEA statement.

The statement by MEA revealed the true face of Pakistan who were boasting of themselves for letting the Indian meet his family on humanitarian grounds. The MEA said Pak violated the spirit of understanding between the two countries.

“Under the pretext of security precautions, the cultural and religious sensibilities of family members were disregarded. This included removal of mangalsutra, bangles and bindi, as well as a change in attire that was not warranted by security,” said MEA, India.
