KTMF Protest Against Kashmir Killings

Srinagar: Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) Monday lodged a strong protest in Lal Chowk against the civilian killings in south Kashmir.

Raising pro-freedom slogans the members of KTMF staged a sit in at Ganta Ghar. The protesting traders demanded to end the “genocide of Kashmiri people”. They raised slogans “Kashmiriyoon ka qatl-e-aam bandh karo” and “Sarkari deshadgardi band karo”.

Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik have called for Kashmir-wide shutdown on Monday against the killing of civilians and militants.

The government forces shot dead thirteen militants and four civilians in three different gunfight in two districts of south Kashmir. Three army men were also killed during the gunfights. Over 200 civilians were also injured in various clashes across south Kashmir on Sunday.
