Kolkata: Trinamool Congress and BJP workers clashed in the RG Kar Hospital premises on Thursday. BJP State President Dilip Ghosh and state chief observor Kailash Vijayvargiya’s vehicles were heckled by the TMC workers.
The leaders allege that one of their workers had succumbed to his injuries owing to the Baduria violence in the city hospital. They were here to meet the kin of the deceased. However, TMC workers had allegedly stopped them which triggered the clash.
Security at the hospital has been increased following the news of the death.
BJP leader Locket Chatterjee, who tried to visit the injured man in hospital, was “heckled and chased away” by supporters of the ruling TMC.
