Kolkata: The city of Kolkata will go dry on September 22 as the Kolkata Municipal
Corporation(KMC) has decided to undertake an urgent repair of pipelines for cracks.
According to the notice published by the KMC, water supply will not be available
from September 22 evening. Normal water supply will resume on September 23 morning.
As per the notice, the water supply will not be available from Indira Gandhi Water
Treatment Park, Tala and other water supplies which are under the KMC. As a result,
water supply will stop at north and south Kolkata.
The water pumping stations under the KMC supply water to Bidhannagar and South Dum
Dum Municipal Corporation.
