Kolkata: After the launch of ‘SHE’ squad for the safety of the women citizens of the city now Kolkata Police has set to help school students at their times of need.
The KP will help if any student is stuck in any part of the city due to traffic snarls. The students or their parents and guardians can call the police at 1073 (Traffic Helpline) or 100. Kolkata Police promised to help the students immediately and reach them to their schools on time.
In a post it put up on its Facebook page, Kolkata Police has said that school children will always be a priority and so asks students and guardians to not hesitate to call up the helpline numbers or contact its special assistance units. The post assures people that ‘We are just a phone call away and ready to serve the school kids.’

This initiation has been taken keeping in mind the examination schedules and the need for school children to reach their schools on time, Kolkata Police has set up special assistance points in the vicinity of many schools in the city. These can also be contacted for any kind of assistance.
