Kolkata Police To Recruit Without Written Examination


Kolkata: The Kolkata Police will recruit ‘civic volunteers’ through an interview only. No written examination will be held for the recruitment.

Anyone between 20 to 60 years (as per 1st January 2018), can apply for the post of a ‘civic volunteer. The person applying for the post must be a resident of the area which comes under Kolkata Police. The minimum qualification of the candidate must be class 8 pass. He will have an advantage is he possesses NCC/NSS or such other certificates. According to the police, 125 vacancies are there for this post.

How to apply?

According to the notice published by the Kolkata Police (Notice no: 10/2018), it says that, the application form for the recruitment of civic volunteer will be available offline the whole day from ‘Reserve Office of Combat Battalion Kolkata Police’. Apart from this, it can also be downloaded from the official website of kolkata police www.kolkatapolice.gov.in. The forms will be available both online and offline till October 5 2018. The last date for the submission of forms is also October 5 2018.

The filled-up application form will have to be submitted along with photocopies of age proof, address proof, personal identity documents (voter card, PAN card, bank pass book, aadhaar card) and a self-attested passport size photo needs to be attached to it.

A panel interview under the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Combat Battalion Kolkata, will be conducted for the recruitment to the post of ‘civic volunteer.’

The date of the interview will be announced after the completion of the process of form submission.
