Kolkata Engineer Arrested In Drug Peddling Case


Kolkata: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have arrested an architect-engineer named Ridam Das Roy from Kolkata’s Park Circus area for allegedly working as a middle-man in a drug-peddling racket. Ridam brought drugs from Bengaluru and sold it here.

The Police said two drug peddlers named Niloy Ghosh and Jerom Watson arrested earlier in this case, used to place orders through Das’ bank account and buy drugs through him.

The NCB officials arrested Niloy Ghosh and Jerome Watson for drug peddling in various parties and colleges in the city in December last year and seized 148 LSD blots and more than 26 grams of MDMA from them.

According police sources, Niloy was the agent of Ridam in the city. Ridam used dark web to do such things. He also ordered drugs like MDMA (Ecstasy) through the dark web using Bitcoin.

NCB started investigation to nab the oter culprits in this case. NCB suspects that many agents are also involved in this case.
