New Delhi: WhatsApp will soon facilitate instant money transfer via the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transaction system.
Now Android beta users have finally got some new features. A new option to scan QR codes for payments. Available on WhatsApp version 2.18.93 Beta programme – the feature will also users make payments by scanning QR codes.
For making a payment user need to go to Settings > Payments > New Payments > Scan QR code after which users will be directed to the QR code scanning option and a user will be asked to enter the amount they wish to send and they will also be asked for UPI PIN for verification.
The features may be enabled in next releases which will let users search GIFs in different categories, like Trending, LOL, Love, Sad, Happy, and Dancing.
Taking on its rival like Paytm WhatsApp will have an option of sending money via UPI id and QR code option as well. While other features that were reported to come in the latest update are disabled by default that includes Advanced GIF Search and Search Stickers.
