KMC To Recruit Doctors Without Interview

Kolkata: The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) will be recruiting doctors for the health centres without interviews. The health department of the KMC has already asked for the state government’s permission on this matter. Questions are being raised whether the eligible candidates would get recruited in such a new process.

The KMC officials have said that several vacant positions are yet to be filled by doctors. Inspite of conducting several interviews, the job seeking doctors do not turn up at the end.

The oppositions have said that corruption might increase if such a process is adapted. But Mayor Parishad Health official Atin Ghosh has rejected the notion that corruption would increase. He also added that, in this way the vacancy in the Corporation’s doctor position would be solved.
