Kingfisher ULTRA Bengal Fashion Week’ mirrored an odyssey of grandeur designs


Kolkata, September 12: Day two of ‘Kingfisher ULTRA Bengal Fashion Week’, in association with Storm Fashion Company commenced with an array of haute couture designs by celebrated designers Hari Anand, Jattinn Kocchhar and Sanjana Jon. The rich and fine detailing in the creations reflected the designer’s passion for textures, outlines, finesse and shades and was a visual treat for the viewers. pic2

Renowned designer from Kochi, Hari Anand showcased a monochrome inspired ensemble of stunning threads. The designer exquisitely conveyed flairs of the bygone and married them to contemporary illustrations which was absolutely mesmerizing. The collection focused mainly on sultry silhouettes dipped in ancient ruins and black. The vivacious Former Miss India Universe, Ushoshi Sengupta gracefully pranced the ramp for the designer. pic1

Jattinn Kochhar kept the evening filled with top notch panache with his bravura evening wear collection. It was a fascinating fabrication of dhoti saree, gowns, edgy dresses, pants, bold tunics, jackets, kaftans dresses and monk gowns. The designer played with a gothic palette of black and dark grey. The inimitable lycra jersey fabric with interlock knits gave an individualistic shape and definition to this collection. Popular model and actor, Sonika Chauhan sashayed the ramp spreading her magnificence with utmost elegance.

 The famous New York designer Sanjana Jon ended the evening with her virtuous themed collection. The stunning outfits were a riot of art and colour which beautifully conveyed the message of women empowerment. It was a humble initiative towards spreading the message of save the girl child. The spectators were left astounded by the posse of bright colours and gold used to celebrate women. Bengal’s much loved actress Rituparna Sengupta was a veracious fit for this collection as she elegantly graced the runaway as the showstopper for the couturier. Supermodels Natasha Suri, Priyanka Shah and actor Arijit Dutta along with his family also walked the ramp in solidarity with the cause.

The second day of glamorous ‘Kingfisher ULTRA Bengal Fashion Week’ marked an end with the scintillating and electrifying after party, ‘Kingfisher ULTRA Glam Nites’. True to its style, Kingfisher ULTRA kept the spirits elevated as it played host to the designers, models and prominent personalities. DJ Dippy kept the pack swaying to his tunes as fashion & Good Times ruled the night.
